Every year the Faculty of Pharmacy hosts a variety of official events.
The Lab Coat Ceremony gives first-year students in the undergraduate pharmacy degree program a very special welcome to the faculty. It is attended by some 600 people, including professors, parents of students, and VIP guests, and is sponsored by the Uniprix banner.
On the Faculty of Pharmacy Research Day, undergraduate and graduate students present posters and graduate students in the pharmaceutical sciences program deliver oral presentations. Scholarships are awarded to the best presentations in each category. There are also lectures on research by pharmaceutical industry insiders, research professors, and faculty alumni. Research Day has been a fixture on the faculty calendar for the past 19 years thanks to financial support from Pfizer Canada.
Project Report Oral Presentation Day is an opportunity for students in the advanced pharmacotherapy master’s program to present their research to peers, hospital and university supervisors, and a committee of three adjudicators.
The next Project Report Presentation Day will be held in December 2021.
The fifth annual Faculty of Pharmacy Recognition and Awards Night took place on January 29, 2020, at the Ferdinand-Vandry Building hall with over 175 guests in attendance.
The event recognizes individual donors, Circle members, and corporate donors that belong to the Circle of Honour. In addition, philanthropic partners award academic and commitment scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. The ceremony is also an opportunity to acknowledge the commitment and exemplary hard work of staff members and others who are part of the faculty.
